this is the agreement between you and meeky. it is short because meeky is small and does very little with your information. using the extension or this site means you accept it.

what meeky is

a browser extension that runs focus sessions and gives you a collectible character when one finishes. it is free. it works without an account, and without ever sending anything anywhere, unless you sign in.

your account

an account is optional and exists only to put you on a leaderboard. if you make one:

• pick a username that is not abusive, impersonating, or someone else's. we can change or remove one that is.
• you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• you can delete it at any time by emailing hello@meeky.me, and we will remove your profile, your sessions, and your group memberships.

fair use

the leaderboard measures time actually spent focusing, and the server, not your browser, decides how long a session was. do not fake sessions, script them, run them on machines you are not at, or try to get another person's data out of the service. accounts doing any of that get removed from the leaderboard, and repeat cases get removed entirely.

supporting meeky

support is a one-off payment through buy me a coffee, who handle the transaction and hold your payment details. we never see your card.

• supporting unlocks a supporter character, and at the top tier a permanent kibble multiplier. it does not buy boxes, rolls, better drop rates, or a secret. the full rates are published.
• because it unlocks immediately, a support payment is not refundable once the code is redeemed, unless the law where you live says otherwise. if something went wrong, email us and we will sort it out.
• supporter perks last as long as meeky does. if meeky shuts down, they stop, and we will say so in advance.

kibble and meekies are not property

kibble, meekies, backgrounds and streaks are entries in a database and part of a game. they have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money. we may change drop rates, prices and balance, and we will not take away something you already earned to do it.

things we do not promise

meeky is provided as it is. we do not promise it will be available without interruption, that the leaderboard will always be reachable, or that it will suit any particular purpose. your collection lives on your own device, so an outage on our side does not touch it.

to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, because it cannot.

changes and endings

we may update these terms. material changes get a note on this page with a new date at the top, and continuing to use meeky after that means accepting them. you can stop at any time by uninstalling. we can suspend an account that breaks the fair use section above.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of [set GOVERNING_STATE in build.js], united states, without regard to conflict of law rules. if you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you rights this agreement cannot remove, you keep those rights.
