meeky

privacy

last updated 7 august 2026

meeky works entirely on your own computer. by default nothing you do is sent anywhere. there is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

what is stored on your device

saved locally using your browser's extension storage, and never transmitted unless you opt in to the leaderboard:

uninstalling meeky deletes all of it.

the companion on web pages

meeky draws a small character in the corner of pages you visit. to do that it has to be allowed to run on those pages, but it only ever draws. it does not read page content, form fields, or passwords. it does not record which sites you visit. it sends nothing anywhere. it is a picture in a corner, isolated from the page inside a closed shadow root.

why each permission is needed

storagesave your collection and streak on your device.
alarmskeep the session timer accurate when the browser suspends background work.
notificationstell you a session has finished.
access to websitesdraw the companion in the corner. visual only, no page content is read or stored.
identityonly used if you choose to sign in for the leaderboard. unused otherwise.

if you turn on the leaderboard

the leaderboard is optional and stays off until you sign in. if you do:

this is held on supabase, our hosting provider. it is used only to show rankings to you and the people in your groups. it is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile of you.

email hello@meeky.me to delete your account and everything attached to it. no conditions, no delay.

children

meeky is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

changes

if this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the extension will tell you before the change takes effect.
