meeky works entirely on your own computer. nothing you do is sent anywhere unless you choose to sign in. there is no account by default.

what is stored on your device

stored in your browser's extension storage:

• which meekies you have collected, how many of each, and the date and session length that earned each one
• your streak, your kibble balance, and drop history counters
• how many minutes you focused on each day, which is what draws your chart
• session lengths you have set, your chosen companion, your chosen background, and how many times you have petted it
• the timing of a session while it is running

uninstalling meeky deletes all of it.

the companion on web pages

meeky draws a small character in the corner of pages you visit. to do that it has to be allowed to run on those pages, but it only ever draws. it does not read page content, form fields, or passwords. it does not record which sites you visit. it sends nothing anywhere. it is a picture in a corner, isolated from the page inside a closed shadow root.

why each permission is needed

storage	save your collection and streak on your device.
alarms	keep the session timer accurate when the browser suspends background work.
notifications	tell you a session has finished.
access to websites	draw the companion in the corner. visual only, no page content is read or stored.
identity	only used if you choose to sign in for the leaderboard. unused otherwise.

if you turn on the leaderboard

the leaderboard is optional and stays off until you sign in. if you do:

• signing in with google shares your email address and name with us, used to create your profile
• we record when each focus session starts and ends, and how many minutes it credited
• we store the display handle you choose and which groups you belong to

supabase hosts it. we use it to show rankings to you and the people in your groups, and for nothing else.

children

meeky is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

changes

if what we collect ever changes, the extension will tell you first.
